About the player
Li Sirong's route into professional football ran through the Netherlands rather than China. He joined the youth academy at ADO Den Haag at the age of 12 before moving on. In January 2023 he switched to Denmark, joining Vejle Boldklub on loan before the move was made permanent later that year.
His career has since taken a winding path through Croatia, first with NK Dubrava and then HNK Orijent, before he returned to China in July 2025 to sign for Tianjin Jinmen Tiger. A year on, in July 2026, he was loaned to Qingdao Hainiu, the club formerly known as Qingdao Jonoon, where he now plays.
A right-back by trade, Li is the son of Li Ming, a former Chinese international. He has not yet earned a call-up to the senior national team or to any of the country's youth sides.
