About the player
Born in Guayaquil, he moved to the next stage of his career after two full seasons at his first club.
In March 2022, Castro joined Club Deportivo El Nacional on a transfer whose fee was not disclosed. He remained with the Quito-based club for two years.
March 2024 brought a free transfer to Mushuc Runa, based in Ambato. Over the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Castro featured for the club in Ecuador's Liga Pro.
In January 2026, Castro arrived at Libertad as a free agent, signing a contract that runs until 31 December 2026.
