V. Dragojevic

Vanja Dragojević went from Partizan's academy to the club's first team, and the promotion happened quickly: after a loan spell at Teleoptik, where he scored twice in a dozen appearances, he returned to Partizan and was made vice-captain at 19.

He went on to make 49 appearances for Partizan's senior side across all competitions — 44 of them in the league, where he scored four goals, plus outings in the Serbian Cup and in Europe. That body of work caught the attention of Rangers, who agreed a fee in the region of £4.6–4.7 million to sign him in July 2026 on a contract running to 2030.

The move itself carried a telling detail: in the months before the transfer went through, Partizan reportedly kept Dragojević out of contact training, wary of risking an injury that could have jeopardised the sale.

At international level, he has represented Serbia's under-21 side on three occasions and made his senior debut in 2026, earning two caps so far.

Rangers gave him the number 22 shirt, and his time in Scotland began under scrutiny: in August 2026 he was sent off for a foul that gave away a penalty against Hibernian.
