About the player
Cologne runs through Verthomy Schilo Boboy's career in more than name. Born in the city, he started out at SC Fortuna Köln before moving to VfL Bochum's academy, where he stayed until the end of his time as a youth player. That spell ended with a trophy: Bochum won the 2. Bundesliga title in the 2020/2021 season, and Boboy took the medal before leaving for Schalke.
At Schalke 04 he settled into regular football with the second team in the Regionalliga, making 48 appearances. In the summer of 2024 he joined SL16 FC, the development side of Standard de Liège in Belgium, where he added another 30 appearances to his record.
His return to Germany brought him home. In July 2025, Boboy signed for FC Viktoria Köln, initially as a guest player, on a contract running to the end of June 2026. It did not take long to add more silverware: Viktoria Köln won the Middle Rhine Cup.
