Vicente Carcamo

In August 2025, playing for Universidad Católica's Sub-20 side against Deportes Iquique, Vicente Cárcamo scored a goal his club later described as Maradona-esque. It arrived while he was captaining the age-group team he had come up through.

Cárcamo joined the Universidad Católica academy as a boy and passed through every category, reaching the semi-finals of the Clausura Sub-17 in 2022 and of the Clausura Sub-20 in 2024, after finishing runner-up in the Apertura Sub-14 in 2019. He signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2025.

The senior debut followed on 10 October 2025, in a Primera División match against Ñublense that Católica won 1-0. Cárcamo replaced Eugenio Mena in the 57th minute. He finished the 2025 season with three league appearances, without a goal or an assist. In 2026 he added a handful more, totalling 98 minutes before his departure, and was named among the substitutes for Copa Libertadores ties against Boca Juniors and Barcelona of Ecuador without getting onto the pitch.

With regular football hard to come by, Católica confirmed in the first days of July 2026 that Cárcamo would join Deportes Limache on loan until the end of the season. He debuted for them almost immediately, on 5 July against San Marcos de Arica. By late August 2026 he had made four league appearances for Limache, each of them from the bench, again without a goal or an assist.

He has won no senior honours: Católica took neither the league title nor the Copa Chile during his time in the first team.
