Vidar Svendsen

Vidar Svendsen has spent his career so far in a single shirt. The defender came through as part of Norrby IF's own ranks after arriving from Masthuggets BK, and he has stayed to become one of the more durable figures in the squad.

The numbers tell a story of consistency rather than spectacle: 19 appearances in his first season, another 19 the following year with two goals added, and then a jump to 26 appearances in 2025, again with two goals and three assists. Across his time at the club he has made 64 appearances in total, scoring four goals and setting up three more — a record built on being picked week after week rather than in occasional bursts.

That reliability was recognised in 2025, when Svendsen was made captain of the side. It marked a step up in responsibility for a player who had spent his earlier seasons establishing himself in a settled Norrby back line, and it came as the club worked through Ettan Södra and the qualification rounds that followed. Norrby extended his contract through to the end of 2027, tying him to the club for the coming seasons.

There is little in the public record about his life away from the pitch. What stands out instead is the shape of his career to date: one club, a growing role within it, and now the armband to go with it.
