About the player

In February 2020, on loan at Gil Vicente, Vítor Carvalho scored twice against Sporting Braga.

He made his first-team debut as a substitute against Ponte Preta in December 2016.

He scored twice in ten matches that season, including the double against Braga, and the club made the move permanent in the summer of 2021, buying him outright from Coritiba. He went on to make 98 appearances for Gil Vicente across all competitions by the summer of 2023, scoring six goals, three of them in the Primeira Liga.

Sporting Braga signed Carvalho on 1 July 2023 on a contract running to 2028. He has since won the Taça da Liga with the club in the 2023/24 season.
