Xin Xu

Xu Xin moved from Shenyang to Atlético Madrid's youth academy in 2010 after a brief start at Shanghai Shenhua, and spent three years in Spain before returning to Chinese football. The move that shaped his career came in December 2015, when Guangzhou Evergrande signed him for €4.3 million. Over the following years there, he collected three Chinese Super League titles, in 2016, 2017 and 2019, along with the Chinese FA Cup in 2016.

A free transfer took him to Shandong Taishan in April 2021, where he added another league and cup double to his record. The following move, to Shanghai Port in April 2022, produced the most striking run of his career: three consecutive CSL titles in 2023, 2024 and 2025, plus the FA Cup in 2024. That sequence made him only the second player in the competition's history to win the Chinese Super League with three different clubs. In January 2026 he joined Yunnan Yukun.

On the international stage, Xu Xin made his debut for China against Oman in November 2021 and scored his first goal for the national team against Vietnam the following February. He was part of the squad that won the EAFF E-1 Football Championship in 2018 and featured at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. As of September 2026, he has earned 18 caps.
