About the player
The move that took Yassin Sbai abroad came without a fee. On 1 July 2026 the Swiss forward joined Железничар Панчево as a free agent and signed a contract running to 30 June 2029.
That system was Lugano's. Sbai joined the academy in 2020 and spent 2020/21 between the reserve side and SC Balerna. The longer stretch of first-team football came at FC Paradiso in the Promotion League across 2023/24 and the start of 2024/25: 31 appearances, no goals. He returned to Lugano from that loan on 31 December 2024. The fee was not disclosed.
Sbai made his Swiss Super League debut for Lugano's first team — a single appearance — and played 25 matches for Lugano II, scoring six. Across his career the totals stand at 62 matches and eight goals.
Left-footed, he is listed as a forward in Serbia, though some databases still carry him as a left-back. He has no senior international caps and no individual honours.
