Two promotions define what Al-Raed has been for most of its life: winners of the Saudi First Division League in 1991–92, and again in 2007–08.
The King's Cup has given Buraidah its later reference points. Quarter-finals came in 2013, 2014 and 2016, and then in 2024–25 the run went one round further, to a semi-final. In 2014, between those cup runs, Al-Raed also reached the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
Home is the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraidah, a ground still widely called the Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Stadium after its earlier name.
