Albert Quévy Mons

RAEC Mons The old provincial matches against Rapid Symphorinois, the club from Saint-Symphorien on the other side of the same agglomeration, never carried a name, and the cup meetings with Stade Mouscronnois and Harelbeke stayed one-off fixtures rather than anything played out year after year.

The line runs back to 15 January 1945, when AS Quévy-le-Grand et Extensions was founded and registered under matricule 4194. A 1989 merger with FC Genly-Noirchain produced Union Sportive Genly-Quévy 89, which earned the "Royal" title in 1995. The side later took the name Royal Albert Quévy-Mons while keeping the old Quévy number, then went through Albert Quévy Mons and Renaissance Mons 44 before settling on RAEC Mons in 2021 — the club now works toward reclaiming the historic number 44 by 2026.

Its one settled achievement came in 2015/2016: champions of the Première Provinciale Hainaut and winners of the Coupe du Hainaut in the same year, under the Albert Quévy Mons name. Before the 2015 merger, predecessor side RUS Genly-Quévy 89 had already climbed the provincial pyramid, taking the Third Provincial in 2007 and the Second Provincial in 2009.

Enzo Scifo took charge in February 2012 and stayed until September 2013, guiding the team to the semi-final of the top-flight championship play-offs before Dennis van Wijk had earlier lifted the club into the top division in 2011. Forward Loris Brogno, who left for Lommel and Charleroi, returned to the reborn RAEC Mons in 2024.

The club plays in red and white, the colours of Mons, with an orange and blue away kit inherited from RUS Genly-Quévy. The nickname Les Dragons points to the city's legend of Saint Waltrude and the dragon, tied to the Ducasse festival. Home matches are played at the Stade Charles Tondreau, and the club now builds toward the 2026 return of its old number.
