A group in Riga put together FK Aliance in 2007, and the club has stayed at amateur level ever since. It plays in the Latvian Second League, the country's third flight, and its ground, Futbola centrs Rūpnīca, holds only 1,000 people.
The clearest measure of where the club stands came in 2020, when it finished ninth in the First Phase of the Second League with four wins, one draw and six defeats from eleven games — a mid-table season for a side that has never had a promotion to point back to. In the Latvian Cup, FK Aliance has entered six times since 2017, and its best run, in 2021, stopped at the third round.
No major trophy sits in the club's history, and no league title either. FK Aliance remains what it has been since its early years in Riga: a small, semi-professional side still looking for the run that would take it into the country's higher divisions.
