Anseong

안성맞춤C축구장 sits inside the grounds of the Anseong sewage treatment plant, on Yangbok-ri in Bogae-myeon — the pitch a citizen-owned side plays on while it works its way up the amateur pyramid. It has fit Anseong Citizen well: a club with no crowd figures to report and no colours or nickname fixed yet, just a name and a climb.

That climb started on 20 November 2017, when the club was formed with a single aim: reach the old K3 League. Since then the promotions have come one division a year. The K7 League's Anseong Division fell in 2023, the K6 League's Gyeonggi Division D followed in 2024, and in 2025 the club won the K5 League's Gyeonggi Division without dropping a point — ten wins from ten. That unbeaten run carried straight into the 2025 K5 League Championship, which Anseong also won, a double that turned three seasons of steady promotion into a significant achievement.

The Korea Cup place for 2026–27 is the clearest sign of where that run has taken them: a citizen club that set out to reach the K3 League eight years ago now has a route into the national cup and a place in the K4 League to chase next.
