Atletico Sucre

In 2023, Atlético Sucre beat their own city rivals, Club Atlético Nacional Sucre, twice inside the same season — 4-0 and then 2-0 — and finished the Torneo Largo on top of the Asociación Chuquisaqueña de Fútbol's Primera A table. Atlético Sucre had already filed an impugnation against Nacional Sucre, a challenge that was later thrown out as unfounded, and the two clubs kept meeting in both the regional league and the Copa Simón Bolívar.

That 2023 title was the club's second, coming six years after the first: in 2017 they had topped the same league with 51 points, ahead of Flamengo de Sucre. Both championships opened the door to the Copa Simón Bolívar, where Atlético Sucre have returned in 2024 and again in 2026. In the 2025 regional phase they beat Mallkus FC 4-1, with Nahuel González scoring twice and Andrés Sandoval and Joaquín Barrientos adding the others.

The club plays out of the auxiliary field at the Estadio Olímpico Patria, a ground that holds around 1,200 people, and has also turned out at the Estadio Yotala. It carries the nickname "The Black Beast," though little else about its early years has settled into record.

Miguel Urdininea was in charge of the side during the 2024 Copa Simón Bolívar, when Atlético Sucre were drawn into a group with EM Huanuni, Libertad FC and CD FATIC.
