Bad Schallerbach

SV Bad Schallerbach come into the current season as an OÖ Liga side after a spell up in the Regionalliga Nord ended in relegation in 2023/24.

That level is where the club has done its best work. It won the OÖ Liga outright in 2013/14, then twice topped the Landesliga West, in 2018/19 and again in 2022/23, the second title earning promotion straight back to the Regionalliga. In between came an Innviertler Cup in 2013 and a run to the final of the Oberösterreichischer Landespokal in 2014/15. The club returned to that cup final in 2023, this time against SV Wallern.

Erich Renner has been in charge since 2020 and was the coach who delivered the 2022/23 Landesliga West title and the promotion that followed. Harald Ruckendorfer turned out for the club in 2012–2014 after 120 top-flight appearances for LASK, and later stepped in as caretaker coach twice, in 2014 and 2016.

None of that carries the edge of the fixture against SV Grieskirchen, a near neighbour in the same district whose meetings with Bad Schallerbach get billed locally as a derby proper.

The club, formally registered as ASKÖ SV Bad Schallerbach and known locally as SV Sedda, was founded on 20 July 1946 and plays in green and white. Its home, the Sportplatz Bad Schallerbach, holds 1,700, in the spa town in Upper Austria that has stayed the club's fixed point through the climbs and the drops between divisions.
