Baník Ostrava II
Club · Czechia · FNL
«Chachaři»
The reserve side spends its season against opponents its parent club never meets: Táborsko and Viktoria Žižkov in the Chance Národní Liga, and before that Prostějov, Chrudim and Hanácká Slavia in the Moravian-Silesian League.
That promotion of status matters more than any result.
Home games are played at the Městský stadion in Ostrava-Vítkovice, the Vítkovice Aréna, which holds 15,123. The ground opened in 1938 and was rebuilt between 2012 and 2015 — an athletics stadium first, and it still shows in the distance between the touchline and the front row.
The goalkeeping coach is Jan Laštůvka, who came through the Baník system himself and returned to it on the other side of the training ground. Josef Dvorník, born in 1978, took the first-team duties with the reserves for 2025/26.
The blue and white, and the name Chachaři — the bad lads — belong to the senior club, which was founded on 8 September 1922 as SK Slezská Ostrava, in a coal city that supplied both its players and its nickname. The reserve team carries the same colours without a founding date of its own worth recording.
