Baník Souš

Souš grew out of the coal district that gave it its name, a mining suburb of Most. The district itself did not survive the century: brown-coal mining expanded until Souš was swallowed into Most, and the club carried the neighbourhood's name long after the neighbourhood itself had gone.

Between the wars Baník Souš played in the Severozápadočeská župa, the regional division of the time, and in the 1931/32 season won it. Decades later, in 2011, the club reached the Division for the first time, a fourth-tier level it held until 2020, when it merged with Mostecký FK to form FK Baník Most-Souš. The merger closed the historical club's own chapter but kept its name alive in the new one, which climbed straight back to the Division and won it in 2022, earning promotion to the ČFL, the third tier.

The old ground, Stadion Zdeňka Fibicha in Souš, still gets used.

The rebuilt club has kept climbing since promotion: fifth in the ČFL in 2024, third the year after, in the 2025/26 season.

7,500 is the capacity of the stadium Baník Most-Souš now calls home.
