Batalhão Fc U20

Batalhão FC's youth side is the club's stronger asset at the moment: the Under-20 team won the Campeonato Tocantinense Sub-20 in 2026, beating União Atlético Clube on penalties, and that result sends them into the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and the 2027 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior as the only club from Tocantins in the draw. The senior side, meanwhile, is still finding its feet in the top flight after winning the Campeonato Tocantinense Segunda Divisão in 2023 and earning promotion for the 2024 season — its only state title so far.

The club traces back to 2009, when the CNPJ of the former Imagine Futebol Clube was reactivated in Palmas.

Home games are played at the Estádio Nilton Santos, known locally as Niltão, in front of up to 12,000 people, with the team in blue, black and white. For the 2024 top-flight campaign the club brought in Maikon Leite, a forward with Santos, Palmeiras and Atlético Paranaense on his résumé. That step up had a rough edge to it too: in the Copa São Paulo, Batalhão's Under-20s were beaten 9–0 by Palmeiras.

Closer to home, the rivalry that matters runs through Palmas itself, against Palmas FC, and through the courts, against União Atlético Clube, with whom Batalhão was still tangled in a dispute over an ineligible player as recently as 2025.
