Twenty-one rounds into the 2026 season, BATE-2 sit 17th in the Belarusian First League with 17 points from 4 wins, 5 draws and 12 defeats. The goal difference tells the same story from the other end: 29 scored, 49 conceded. A year earlier the same side had finished eighth.

That drop matters less here than it would elsewhere, because the club was never built to climb. BATE Borisov set up a reserve side to give young players competitive minutes, and the plan moved quickly through 2024 — reports in January that the second team would enter the First League, an application lodged in February, registration with the Belarusian Football Federation in March, granted without the licensing procedure a senior club would face.

They play at the Gorodskoy Stadium, which holds 5,402.

The colours are the parent club's: fawn, dark blue, white, yellow and light blue. The reserve side has no crest of its own.

What the record does not show is who has passed through. Squad lists for BATE-2 are thin to non-existent in the public record, and the players who spend a season here are named, if at all, when they turn up in the first team. That is the arrangement working as intended — the second string exists to be left behind. For now the club's identity runs entirely through the badge above it in Borisov, and the name anyone recognises on a BATE-2 teamsheet is still BATE.
