City Stadium

Formerly: City Stadium

Not many grounds hosting football in the Belarusian top division hold fewer than two thousand people, and City Stadium is one of them. The number that governs the place is 1,896 — that is the entire ground. A side that pays for a sloppy opening here does it within earshot of just about every seat.

It stages that football because of a rebuild. A large part of it went into the playing surface, which is artificial and carries FIFA's two-star certificate.

The name is unsettled rather than disputed. In Russian it is Gorodskoy Stadion, in Belarusian Haradski stadyon, and in English-language listings it appears as City Stadium — a translation that has stuck rather than a title anyone gave it. What all three describe is a municipal ground, named for the town it stands in.

The tenant has been the more changeable part. FK Slutsk played here under that name; the club now goes by Slutsk-2024, and the ground it uses has not moved.
