TJ Břidličná has played in the Moravian-Silesian league system, where Šumperk beat the club 1-3 in the 2022/23 MOL Cup preliminary round and sent it back to its own level.
That level has been the amateur ladder of the Moravian-Silesian region for most of the club's life, and the club itself carried the name of the local metalworks, TJ Kovohutě Břidličná, until 2016, when it reverted to the town's own name.
Founded in 1919, TJ Břidličná plays in blue at home, white away, at the Stadion Břidličná, which holds 1,000. The club won the I. B třídy Moravskoslezského kraje in 2011/12, a reserve-side title the year before, and achieved promotion in 2022/23 into Divize F, the fourth tier. It sat eighth there in 2024/25.
That squad has carried a local name back through it: Filip Souček, once of Sparta Prague and Opava, returned as an assistant coach in his home shirt.
