The draw for the first round of the Danish Cup in 2025/26 sent Brøndby Strands Idrætsklub against Nerashté Ballerup, and BSI won it 3-2. That put a club from the fields at Tybjergparken into the second round against Hillerød Fodbold, where the same margin ran the other way: 2-3, and the run was over.

The club has been in Brøndby Strand since 1935, but the version of it that entered that cup tie is a good deal younger. In December 2013 BSI was reorganised and relaunched — «det nye BSI», as it is known around the club — with youth sport and the development of players placed at the centre of what it does.

There is no stadium as such. Matches are played at the address the club also uses for everything else, Tybjergparken 12, on a set of grass pitches and one artificial surface.

Espergærde IF beat BSI 1-7 in the same competition.

Nerashté Ballerup and Hillerød Fodbold are the names attached to the most recent of those afternoons — one beaten, one not.
