FK Minyor Pernik

Minyor's most recent trophy is the Third League title of 2023-24. The earlier two came in 1994-95 and 2004-05.

The club belongs to Pernik, a mining town, and its nickname, The Hammers, comes from that work. It began in 1919 as SC Krakra and passed through Rudnichar, Republikanets and Torpedo before settling on Minyor.

The years that still define the club came in the 1950s. Stadion Minyor took three years to build, from 1951 to 1954, and opened on 30 May 1954. It was planned for 19,000 spectators, and the city of Pernik still owns it. In 1955 the team finished fourth in the First League. In 1958 it reached the Bulgarian Cup final and lost 0-1 to Spartak Plovdiv, the closest Minyor has come to a national trophy. It finished fourth in the league again in 1960-61.

The second tier tells the rest. Minyor won the Second League (B Group) four times, in 1965-66, 1971-72, 1978-79 and 1986-87. Each title followed a spell below the top flight, which means the club left the First League after the early sixties and kept having to earn its way back. The ground was reconstructed in 2010.
