«The Green-Whites»
Mihkel Ainsalu scored past Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League in 2019, two years before Flora reached a place in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2021–22.
The club itself is older than that run suggests. It was formed on 10 March 1990, when Aivar Pohlak built a side around players from the youth team Tallinna Lõvid, as the Soviet Union was coming apart. The name has stayed the same ever since.
Flora play at the A. Le Coq Arena, which opened in 2001 as Lilleküla staadion. Between 2015 and 2018, the Estonian government put €5 million into rebuilding it. Capacity rose from 10,340 to 15,000, and large video screens went in.
Flora has won the league championship 16 times. The trophy case also holds nine Estonian Cups and 12 Super Cups. Arno Pijpers took three titles in a row between 2001 and 2003, the last of them without a league defeat all season. Jürgen Henn, who coached from 2018 to 2023, won the double in both 2019 and 2020 and took the club into that first European group stage. Konstantin Vassiljev, a former Flora player, became coach in 2024 and won the title the following year.
The fixture against Levadia Tallinn, known as the Tallinn derby, has been played since 1999 and carries a divide beyond the pitch. A second rivalry, against Nõmme Kalju, is called the Railway derby, after the line connecting the two clubs' grounds.
Martin Reim was there for that first season in 1990, and stayed on as a player until 2007, then returned as coach from 2010 to 2012, winning two more league titles and a cup.
