Football Primetime

Kalmarsundsparken is not much more than an open pitch, no fixed stands — the kind of ground a club plays on when it has nothing to inherit and everything still to build. Football Primetime settled there because that is what a club founded in 2019 gets: a patch of grass in Kalmar and a fixture list, not a stadium with a past attached to it.

The club itself exists on paper as Football Primetime FC AB, registered that same year, with the financier Daniel Perfect holding the chair. It sits in Division 3 Sydöstra Götaland, the fourth tier, still looking for its first trophy — there isn't one yet, and nobody at the club pretends otherwise.

The Svenska Cupen has given the clearest read on where the team stands. Between those two games sat the difference between a team that can scrap out a single result and one that gets taken apart once the opposition has real quality.

The squad has turned over fast in the past two years. Papa Diouf arrived at the start of 2025, and this January brought two more: the winger Flamur Dzelili , who carries both Swedish and Kosovan background, and midfielder Peiman Eliassi . For a club this young, the roster itself is still the story — there has not been time yet for much else.

What there is remains tied to that stretch of grass by the water in Kalmar, where a small-town cup run and a heavy defeat sit in the same season, and where the next one will be decided the same way.
