Jamaica U20

The team exists: a Jamaican squad assembled from players under 20, sent out under the federation's banner into the CONCACAF calendar.

Most of the football happens in qualifying. The regional format pools Caribbean sides into groups, and Jamaica's recent opponents at this level read as a map of that pool: Bermuda , Martinique , Puerto Rico , Saint Kitts and Nevis , the Cayman Islands , Grenada . These are not fixtures that draw crowds. They are the sorting mechanism that decides who goes on to the CONCACAF U20 Championship proper and who does not.

Past qualifying the opposition changes character. Costa Rica , Panama and Honduras arrive with academy systems that have been producing full internationals for decades, and the United States bring the deeper squad every time. Haiti and Cuba sit somewhere between the two tiers — beatable, but rarely comfortably. Friendlies fill the gaps between windows.

What the record does not yet contain is the thing the tournament is actually for.
