«La Furia»
La Furia won the Dominican top flight twice in the early 2000s. They won that Serie B title the same year, beating América SD to earn their way back into the Liga Mayor. This past season, in 2025–26, they completed the circle and were champions again.
Between those two eras stood César "Danco" García, a defender capped by the Dominican Republic who wore the captain's armband across four separate spells with the club, in 2010–11, 2012–13, 2014 and again in 2020.
The rivalry that matters most to the town is local: Jarabacoa meet Atlético Vega Real in the Derby Vegano, two clubs from La Vega Province settling the same argument every season. Home games are played at the Estadio Junior Mejía, a ground that holds 1,800, in a town where the fury the nickname promises has, twice now, ended in a championship.
