A five-a-side habit among friends on Saaremaa turned into a registered outfit called Kena JK in 2020. It plays out of Kuressaare, Saare County's main town, though its listed home ground, Lasnamäe SPK's artificial pitch, sits across the water in Tallinn and holds 666.
Kena competes in the Rahvaliiga, Estonia's amateur tier. In the 2026 season the club finished second in the A-tasand II group on 15 points, behind FC Taritu. Locally, the club has had more to show for itself: a win at the Porsa tournament and bronze at the Saare County mini-football championship.
The Estonian Cup has given Kena its sharpest test. Facing Rakvere FC Freedom, the club took the tie to extra time and finished level at 2-2, only to lose the penalty shootout 5-4. Squad members named in connection with the club, among them Sergey Akimov, Arlet Robert Uusna and Karmo Metsmaa, are current players rather than academy products or figures with a wider reputation.
Kena has yet to win a national trophy, and no club colours or nickname have taken hold in how it's known.
