Mehmet Kösen took charge of Kilis Birlikgücü for the 2025/26 season with one job: get the club out of the Kilis First Amateur League after a fourth-place finish the year before. He managed it. The team topped the table and secured promotion to the Profesyonelliğe Geçiş Ligi, the tier once known as the Bölgesel Amatör Lig, for 2026-27 — the first honour of note in the club's history.
The campaign had a rough shape to it: a 9-1 win over Yavuzlu Mülayim Gençlikspor in December, a tighter 2-0 result against Elbeylispor in April. Forward Hüseyin Uğur Arı and midfielder Okan Sarı were part of a squad built around Kadir Can Yılmaz and Murat Gülbahçe at the back, with goalkeeper Mehmet Fatih Yarımay behind them.
Mustafa Toprak took over as president for that promotion-winning season.
Most weekends the club plays at the Söğütlüdere Sahası, a ground that holds 500 people.
