Kvant

Trud holds 3,978 people. It has been Kvant's home ground in Obninsk since well before the club turned professional.

That academy took shape around Yuri Shuvanov, who took charge of the Kvant youth school in 1963 and stayed almost fifty years. One of them, Anatoly Baydachny, was already appearing for the senior side at fifteen; he went on to play for Dynamo Moscow. Lev Berezner, another graduate, has been the club's director since 2022. Oleg and Alexey Morozov have shaped the club from the touchline and the office: Oleg has been head coach since 2018, after two earlier spells in charge during the amateur years, while Alexey has worked in the coaching and sporting staff since 2002.

Kvant was founded in 1962 and turned professional in 2018, the year it also won the Moscow Region Football Federation Cup, beating Sergiev Posad 4-1 in the final. That followed a regional championship in 2016 and, in 2017, victory in the Moscow zone of the Third Division that carried the club into the national play-off stage. Kvant has entered the Russian Cup every season since, usually exiting in its early rounds, and spent the 2019/20 season in the second-tier FNL-2, finishing 13th.

Locally, none of that carries the weight of a fixture against Kaluga, known as the Kaluga derby or, to some, the space derby. Those matches, rather than the league table, are what still draw the biggest crowds through the gates at Trud.
