Landvetter IS

Joakim Lindén Johansson watched his side beat Lindome GIF on penalties to win Södercupen in 2026, the regional tournament that earns clubs outside the top divisions a place in Svenska Cupen.

The club was founded in 1931 in Landvetter, a small community in Härryda municipality, Västra Götaland, a short drive from Gothenburg. It still plays at Landvetter IP, a ground built for 4,800.

Green runs through how the club presents itself. The shirt, shorts and socks are all green, and off the pitch the website speaks of a grön gemenskap, a green community; the club shop sells its gear simply as Team Green.

The first team plays in Division 2 and Division 3, where the Södercupen run stands as the clearest mark the club has made in recent seasons. Further down the club, the over-60s side won the Göteborgs Gåfotbollscup, a walking-football tournament, for the first time in its history, also in 2026.

Landvetter carries that cup form into Svenska Cupen now, still working up from the lower tiers of the Swedish league system, with the next round the only fixture that matters.
