Lipany

The clearest mark Odeva Lipany have left on Slovak football is the 2018/19 title in the III. liga Východ, the fourth tier at the time, which sent the club up into the II. liga. A campaign that came close to matching it followed in 2023/24, when Lipany reached the semi-final of the Slovnaft Cup before MFK Ružomberok ended the run.

The club turns 100 in 2025. Across that century it has played under a string of names – ŠK Lipany, ŠK Slávia Lipany, ŠK Sokol Lipany, TJ Odeva Lipany, TJ OZKN Lipany, FK Odeva Lipany, FK Odeva Dukla Lipany – before settling on ŠK Odeva Lipany. It was founded in 1925, though organised football in the town only began in 1929.

Among those to come through its youth ranks is Stanislav Varga, who moved on from Tatran Prešov to a career that eventually took him to Celtic. Štefan Varga and Štefan Ják also started out there.

Lipany play in green and white, occasionally turning out in a red-and-white alternate kit, at the 4,000-capacity Štadión ŠK Odeva Lipany.

To prepare for competitive football, the club has turned to friendly matches against Humenné and Lokomotíva Košice.
