Mannswörth

Klasse in 1961, the 1. Klasse in 1979, the Oberliga A in 2001, each step a promotion earned rather than a title chased.

It has also spent long stretches without its own name. Founded in 1920 by Heinrich Pewny, Roderich Panosch and Johann Bähr, the club merged with ASV Nova Schwechat in 1953 and played on as ASV Nova-Mannswörth. A few years later it became MV Schwechat, its football section pulled out of the village altogether and relocated to the town next door. Only in 1974, through a further merger with ESV Schwechat, did the Sportplatz Mannswörth side get its old name back.
