It was Olympic Muremera until 2016, when the rename came ahead of the 2016–17 season, and it has also been known as Lumière Football Club. The founding year is not recorded.
Under the Lumière name it won Group B of Ligue B in 2023–24, and that was the promotion: from the second tier into Ligue A, the Burundian top flight, played under the Primus Ligue name.
Home is Stade Urukundo in Buye, a ground for 5 000, and the team plays there in yellow with white and black trim, black shorts and socks.
