Niva

Football arrived in Dolbizno the way it does in small district towns, attached to a farm enterprise rather than a city budget, and the name stuck: Niva, after the fields the club's backers worked. It was founded in 2005, low in the pyramid, with no obvious route upward and no need to promise one.

For years the club's business was regional cups, the kind of silverware that rarely leaves a district. That changed in 2020, when Niva won the Brest Region Cup and turned it into the Belarusian Regions Cup title the same year — a result built from the bottom of the system rather than against it. Two years later came the Belarusian Second League, won outright, and promotion into the First League followed.

Once there, Niva did not fade back down. The 2024 season brought third place, a bronze finish built in large part on Dmitry Fedortsov, who top-scored the entire First League with 26 goals in all competitions that year. A year later the table was less kind — seventh — but the club stayed up without alarm.

Boris Konevega belongs to both sides of that story. He played in Niva's midfield through 2021 and 2022, once capped into Belarus's under-21 setup, then returned in a different role, taking charge of the team for the 2023 and 2025 seasons. Pavel Yevseyenko now holds that job.

None of it has needed a big ground. Niva still plays at Agro-Niva, a stadium some records list under the older name Gorodskoy, holding 1,000 people — enough for a town that built a First League club out of a district cup.
