North Macedonia U19

Eljif Elmas wore this shirt thirteen times between 2015 and 2018 before Napoli and then RB Leipzig signed him, and Ezgjan Alioski passed through it a few seasons earlier on his way to Leeds United and Fenerbahçe.

The squad trains at the Petar Miloševski Training Centre in Skopje, a ground opened in 2013 and named for a former national goalkeeper. The Football Federation of North Macedonia, formed in 1993 once the country's senior team began playing internationally, oversees the age group alongside the rest of the pyramid.

Qualification for the finals of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship has stayed out of reach. The closest the team has come was reaching the Elite Round, first in 2018 and again in 2024, only to fall short of the finals both times. The women's side has its own mark on the competition's history, having hosted the 2009/10 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship on home soil, though a fourth-place group finish kept them out of the knockout rounds.

Red remains the base of the kit, with yellow wavy lines across the home shirt and yellow socks completing it, which is where the nickname The Red Lions comes from. The team continues to test itself against the likes of Netherlands U19, Portugal U19 and Germany U19 in qualifiers, still chasing the finals appearance that has eluded it so far.
