«Ostiamare»
Daniele De Rossi played his youth football at Ostia Mare between 1997 and 2000, then left for the Roma academy. He came back in January 2025, buying the club from the Di Paolo family as it faced bankruptcy, taking the chair and talking about a plan that runs 30 years.
The club he bought grew out of Lido di Ostia. Founded in 1945 as Associazione Sportiva Ostia Mare, it became Unione Sportiva Ostia Mare in 1980, then in 1983 bought the sporting title of La Rustica — a transaction that carried it into the Interregionale and produced the name it still carries, AS Ostia Mare Lido Calcio. The maroon of the early years gave way to the white and violet worn now.
Two seasons in Serie C2, in 1989–90 and 1990–91, remain the highest the club has climbed. Those matches were not played at the Anco Marzio but at the Stadio Pasquale Gianattasio, a CONI ground holding 2,600. Home since has meant the Anco Marzio on Via Giovanni Amenduni, where a thousand people fill the place.
Promotion out of Eccellenza Lazio had been won twice before that, in 2000 through a play-off against Monterotondo and again in 2012, and it is the 2012 side whose work has lasted: Serie D has been the club's level ever since.
