Paraguay U19

Training happens at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo "Escribano Óscar Harrison" in Ypané, on the outskirts of Asunción — pitches, gym and lodging under one roof. Paraguay U19 is not a standing side but a selection the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol puts together for each tournament.

The federation behind it dates to 18 June 1906, founded as the Liga Paraguaya de Football Association, but the youth side itself carries no founding year of its own — only the record of the tournaments it has entered. In the South American U-20 Championship it has been runner-up five times, in 1964, 1967, 1985, 2009 and 2013, and champion once, in 1971. At the South American Youth Games, football did not even feature in 2013 or 2017; when it returned, Paraguay took bronze in 2022 in Rosario.

The women's side, run under the same setup, reached the final of the South American U-20 Championship in 2024, finishing second.

Red shirts with white stripes, white shorts, red socks — the same reading of the flag that gives the senior team its nickname.
