Perth Wildcats

Perth remain the benchmark in the National Basketball League. For 35 consecutive seasons, from 1987 to 2021, they never missed the postseason, a run that stopped only in 2022.

The club began life in 1982 as the Westate Wildcats before taking the Perth name two years later, and it has since won ten championships, in 1990, 1991, 1995, 2000, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020 — the only side in the league's history to have lifted the title in four separate decades. Five of those came under Trevor Gleeson between 2014 and 2020, while the very first, in 1990, was delivered by Cal Bruton.

Dr Jack Bendat owned the club from 2007 to 2021 before he sold to the Sports Entertainment Group.

Ricky Grace remains the club's all-time leading scorer and a Hall of Famer.
