Poseidon

Pärnu Raeküla staadion sits on Riia mnt 277, a ground built for 500 spectators — but it is the pitch Poseidon has called home since the club took shape. The colours are blue and white, and locals know the side by its nickname, Merejumalad, the Sea Gods.

Poseidon was founded in 2013, though the organising work behind it began two years earlier. For much of its life the club built itself up through Estonia's fourth tier, winning IV Liiga (Group W) in 2015 and IV Liiga West in 2017, each title earning promotion into III Liiga.

The defining moment came later. In February 2022, Poseidon merged operations with Pärnu JK, the city's older club dating to 1989. The two kept separate legal registrations, but Pärnu JK's senior men's team, its women's side and more than ten youth squads all moved under the Poseidon banner, with figures from both clubs — among them Jonas Einfeldt, Martin Kuldmägi and Silver Lulla — joining the board.

Local rivalry runs through Pärnu JK Vaprus, whose meetings with Poseidon are known simply as the Pärnu derby; Pärnu JK Tervis and the old Pärnu JK name complete the city's football landscape. Kert Pulst holds the appearance record, with 166 games for the club as of 2020, while Ivar Lepik moved from the pitch to the touchline, following 103 matches and 12 goals as a player with a spell as head coach through 2021 and 2022.
