Potenza

The Coppa Italia Serie C came to Potenza in 2025–26. Before that the club's honours had all been the kind you win to go up: Serie D in 1961 and again in 2018, Serie C1 in 1963, Serie C2's Girone H in 1992.

What happened afterwards is a paper trail. Bankruptcy in 1986, the traditions passing to Polisportiva Edilpotenza; a second collapse in 1994; expulsion from the federation in 2012 over match-fixing. Each time a new entity picked up the name — Unione Calcio Potenza, then Football Club Potenza, then Potenza Sport Club — until a 2012 merger of two local sides produced the club that exists now, registered since 2018 as Potenza Calcio S.r.l. It began that year in Serie D and won it.

The red and blue on the shirt gives the club one nickname, Rossoblù; the roaring lion on the badge gives the other.

Roberto Boninsegna spent 1964–65 here and scored 9 goals in Serie B.
