Juve Stabia

When he founded Società Sportiva Juventus Stabia in 1935, Castellammare di Stabia already had a football club with a name and a past — AC Stabia, which would win the Campionato Italia Liberata in 1945 and reach Serie B six years after that. It waited its turn. When AC Stabia went under in 1953, the town's football simply moved across to it, and that year the club settled on the yellow-and-blue stripes it still wears.

The 1953 collapse was not the last. Bankruptcy in 2001 wiped the club out again, and what came back in 2002 was a merger with Comprensorio Nola, playing under a borrowed name until 2003, when the present SS Juve Stabia was adopted. From there the climb was slow and documented: the Coppa Italia Serie D in 2004, the Seconda Divisione title in 2010, then promotion to Serie B through the play-offs in 2011.

That first Serie B season, 2011–12, produced a ninth-place finish that remains the high-water mark. The club has gone up three times since the play-off route worked in 2011: automatically in 2019 and again in 2024, a club record. In 2024–25 the Wasps finished fifth in Serie B and entered the play-offs for Serie A.
