Pro Patria

The high point of Pro Patria's history came in the 1946-47 season, when the club won Serie B Group A and went up to Serie A. That promotion followed an earlier climb: in 1940-41 Pro Patria had already topped Serie C Group C to reach Serie B in the first place, so the road to Italy's top division ran through two separate title-winning campaigns rather than one leap.

Serie A never turned into a settled home. The club's spell among the elite ended for good in 1955-56, and Serie B became the more familiar level instead — nineteen seasons there over the years. A more recent title arrived in 2017-18, when Pro Patria won Serie D and worked its way back into professional football.

The club competes as Aurora Pro Patria 1919 in full, a name shortened to Pro Patria in everyday use since its founding that year. The nickname Tigrotti was given to the side by the journalist Bruno Roghi in 1931, a reference to the fighting spirit he saw in the players, and the white and blue of the shirts have gone with it ever since. Home matches are played at the Stadio Carlo Speroni, which holds 4,627.

What the club has not done is win the Coppa Italia or the Scudetto.
