Progresul Spartac București

Progresul Spartac spent last season back in Liga III after relegation from the second tier in 2023/24, when a 20th-place finish sent the club down.

That climb began with Andrei Erimia, coach and one of the club's founders, who took the side from Liga IV up into Liga II. The route ran through what supporters still call the "Miracle in Crevedia": a technical defeat in the first leg of the 2016/17 promotion play-off against Voința Crevedia was answered with a 6-2 win in the return match. Two more titles followed in Liga III, in 2020 and 2022.

In the Cupa României, Progresul Spartac reached the last 32 twice, and along the way produced results well beyond its level. In 2018/19 the club beat Rapid București 3-1 in the first round; in 2020/21 it went further still, knocking out CSA Steaua București 2-1, with goals from Andrea Ohaci and Henry Lixandru.

The club was founded on 16 June 2014, and the Bucharest football scene has never fully settled the question of who carries the old Progresul name forward — other groups have laid claim to the same lineage, a dispute that spilled into public view in 2017 when the owners of Progresul Spartac and AS Progresul București clashed over the rights to that history.

Home is the Stadionul Progresul Spartac on Str. Intrarea Vrabiei, a ground the club bought in 2014, when it still went by the name Stadionul Prefabricate. It holds 1,030 seated spectators. When Liga II licensing rules made the ground unsuitable in August 2022, the team played its home matches away from it for a spell, first at the CNAF stadium in Buftea and then in Clinceni.
