The village is now part of Gentofte.
The stretch that mattered came in the 1920s. Skovshoved won the Zealand Football Championship in 1921–22, then took it four seasons running from 1925–26. The best of those years was 1926–27, when the club won the Provinsmesterskabsturneringen and finished runner-up for the Danish title. Second place in 1952–53, and nothing since.
After the war the club's ground shifted from provincial competition to the Copenhagen championship, which it won in 1939–40, 1941–42 and 1946–47. The fourth of those titles arrived in 1969.
Skovshoved Idrætspark, also called Banen ved Krøyersvej, in blue and black.
