«Leão do Vale»
The paperwork and the shirt don't quite agree on where this club is from. Sport Club was founded on 22 February 1994 in Formosa do Oeste, a small town in western Paraná, and at some point moved down the road to Campo Mourão. The old name never fully let go: officially the club is still registered as Sport Club de Formosa do Oeste, while around Campo Mourão and on the pitch it plays as Sport Club Campo Mourão — one club, two hometowns folded into its identity.
In Campo Mourão it wears garnet and white, and answers to Leão do Vale, the Lion of the Valley, a nickname that fits the flatlands around its adopted town rather than the place it was actually born. Home matches go on at the Estádio Municipal Roberto Brzezinski, a ground built for 3,948 people, unremarkable in size even against the other grounds of Paraná's lower divisions.
That is the level Sport Club competes at going into the 2026 season: Paranaense 3, the third tier of the state championship, where the opposition comes from towns much like Campo Mourão itself and a full house at the Brzezinski is a few thousand people, not tens of thousands.
