Târgu Secuiesc

Târgu Secuiesc sits in Covasna county, a small market town in the Székely Land where the football club was put together by students and craftsmen in September 1912, and the club has never moved.

What it has done instead is change its name nine times. Kézdivásárhely SE until 1918, then CS Târgu Secuiesc, then Kézdivásárhely SE again from 1940, when the Second Vienna Award placed the town inside Hungary. Under that flag came the club's best finish anywhere: third in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II in 1940–41. The Fortyogó years ran through the 1990s. The current name, KSE Târgu Secuiesc, dates only from a refoundation in January 2002.

The Metalul side of the mid-1980s got closest to something bigger, finishing third in Liga III in three consecutive seasons from 1984–85. Nobody went up.

The blue shirts have been constant where almost nothing else was.
