Zavrč

The original NK Zavrč folded in 2016.

The original club was founded on 12 April 1969. That run bought Zavrč three seasons in the Prva liga, the best of them 2013/14, when Viktor Trenevski and later Željko Orehovač had the team finishing fifth. Jože Benko scored 16 league goals that season, and Aleš Čeh had opened the club's top-flight account with a goal on debut against Olimpija.

The club's home ground, Športni park Zavrč, holds 962 seated spectators after a 2015 rebuild of the main stand. Floodlights went up in 2012 and came down again in 2017, sold to Aluminij once the money had run out — by then Zavrč had already been relegated from the Prva liga in 2015/16, finishing ninth, and folded within the year.

The closest rivalry belongs to nearby NK Cirkulane, and matches between the two are still called the Haloško derbi. The name that travelled furthest from Zavrč, though, belongs to Zlatan Muslimović, the Bosnian forward who wore the white shirt in that final top-flight season after a career that had already taken him through Parma and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
