Dobrovce

A village club in the Miklavž na Dravskem polju municipality has to be measured against a much smaller pool of rivals than the size of the country would suggest, and Dobrovce has spent its life inside that regional frame, formed in 1976 to give the village its own team rather than send players to neighbouring towns. Half a century on, it still plays in the lower reaches of the Slovenian pyramid, in 3. SNL East, the fourth tier, under the umbrella of the Maribor inter-municipal football union.

The clearest mark it has left is a promotion earned rather than bought: winning the 1. Medobčinska liga, the regional championship run under the Maribor union, which carries the right to move up into 3. SNL. Nothing above that level appears in its record, and in the Slovenian Cup the club's furthest run of recent years ended in the round of 32 in the 2022/23 season, a 1-4 defeat to Rudar Velenje.

Robert Meznarič, a former player and coach at the club, has chaired it since 2016 and carries the "Heart of the Club" mark given for that service. On the touchline, Aleksander Magdič took over as head coach for 2025/26, replacing Primož Gorše. Earlier in the club's history, Edvard Grindl, Rafael Dobaj and Albin Brumen are remembered as coaches and founding-generation players honoured for their part in building it.

Home matches are played at Igrišče Dobrovce, a ground with room for 1,000.
