Campbell Reserve

Campbell Reserve is a sports ground and public park located in the suburb of Coburg, within the City of Merri-bek (formerly the City of Moreland) in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its address is 11-49 Moreland Road, Coburg VIC 3058. The venue is primarily used for soccer and is also referred to as the Frank Holohan Soccer Complex, although some sources distinguish Frank Holohan Soccer Complex as a separate facility in Endeavour Hills; in the context of Moreland City FC, Campbell Reserve is the home ground. The playing surface is natural grass, specifically warm-season grass, which was resurfaced and upgraded with new irrigation and drainage in 2018 as part of a $1.5 million pavilion project. The venue does not have floodlights or a running track. The current capacity is reported with conflicting figures: 2,500 is cited in Wikipedia and general club profiles, while Europlan-Online lists it as 1,500. The specific year the reserve was opened or established is not found in available records, though Moreland City FC (formed in 1934) has played there for approximately 82 years as of 2016. The main tenant is Moreland City FC, which competes in the Victorian Premier League 1. The venue has hosted matches in the Dockerty Cup, Victoria's premier state knockout competition, including a 1964 round match between Coburg and Chelsea. It has not hosted any State or National Cup Finals. Former names: The venue is known as Campbell Reserve; no other official former names for the ground itself were found, though the tenant club was formerly known as Moreland FC and Moreland Hakoah.
